Chung Hsin University Hosts Talk on Tibetan Democracy
TAIPEI: Mr Dawa Tsering, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Taiwan, was invited to give a talk on Tibetan democracy at National Chung Hsing University in Taichung on 26 May. During his two-hour talk Representative Dawa Tsering spoke about Tibet history, modern democracy and on the recent landmark election of 3rd Kalon Tripa.

Parliament Amends Charter on Devolution of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Formal Authority
DHARAMSHALA: The 14th Tibetan Parliament-Exile, after three days of intense deliberation during its additional session, gave its stamp of approval for the devolution of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s administrative and political powers to the democratically elected Tibetan leaders.

On the 30th May 2011, the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Liechtenstein held a demonstration in front of the U.N Office in Geneva appealing the United Nations to send an independent fact finding mission with full unhindered access to Tibet as soon as possible.

New changes to the Constitution of Tibet after His Holiness Decision
Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama today turned down the role of head of state for the Tibetan administration-in- exile. Although Tibetan leaders urged him to remain as ceremonial head of state, His Holiness firmly maintained his decision to step back from the political scene and focus on his role as spiritual leader.

Samdhong Rinpoche awarded, says credit goes to the Dalai Lama
Dharamshala, May 25: The Prime Minister of the Tibetan government-in-Exile, Samdhong Rinpoche was on Wednesday awarded for his outstanding leadership as the Kalon Tripa at a function organized at the main temple.
