Australian PM has no plans to meet Dalai Lama
Sydney, May 23: Prime Minister Julia Gillard said Monday that she did not yet plan to meet with the Dalai Lama when he visits Australia next month, but acknowledged that the nation expected her to receive the revered Tibetan spiritual leader.

Tibet support groups, hotel staff clash
Clashes broke out between Tibet support groups and Grand Hotel staff in the lobby yesterday after the management canceled a room reservation made by the groups in preparation for the arrival of a delegation headed by Sichuan Province Governor Jiang Jufeng (蔣巨峰).
Teen Tibetan monk detained, 55000 troops in Ngaba estimated
Dharamsala, May 23 – As the Chinese authorities in Tibet’s Ngaba County continue to subject monks of Kriti monasytery to the so-called “Patriotic Reeducation Campaign” a Tibetan monk named Lobsang Choephel has been arrested on May 12, a Tibetan source with contacts in Ngaba said.

Tibetan PM elect asks India to include Tibet as "core issue" with China
Dharamsala, May 23 – The Tibetan Prime Minister elect Lobsang Sangay has appealed the Indian government to make Tibet “a core issue” in its dealings with China which he warned has India encircled by its interests in South Asia.

Peace Rally in Tokyo Against Siege of Kirti Monastery in Tibet
Tokyo: Around eighty Tibetans and Japanese gathered at Jingudori Park in Tokyo for a peace rally against the siege of Kirti Monastery in Amdo province of Tibet by the Chinese security forces and the injustice that is going on in the region.

Historic Tibetan National General Meeting Commences
DHARAMSHALA: Hundreds of Tibetan delegates representing Tibetan community from across the globe have begun discussing amendments to the Charter on the devolution of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's administrative and political powers and responsibilities to the elected leaders of the Central Tibetan Administration.
