Kashag Re-appoints Envoys and Representatives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Secretaries
DHARAMSHALA: The Kashag has announced the re-appointment of the incumbent special envoy, envoy and representatives of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and secretaries of the departments, as their terms naturally ended with the ratification of the amendment to the charter by His Holiness the Dalai Lama on 29 May.

MELBOURNE: His Holiness the Dalai Lama today said the world should help China to become a good member of the international community and that China must also understand its own responsibilities. “As a responsible member, China should allow more freedom of information and develop transparency in the government,” His Holiness the Dalai Lama said in his address at a parliamentary reception hosted at Australian Parliament in Canberra today.

Envoy Kelsang Gyaltsen attends Tibet conference at French Senate

Top Australian Leaders Meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Parliament House
DHARAMSHALA: His Holiness the Dalai Lama today visited the Parliament House in Canberra and he was accorded warm welcome by some of the top leaders, which include Opposition Leader Tony Abbott. His Holiness also met Nationals leader Warren Truss, Greens leader Bob Brown and School Education Minister Peter Garrett.

Kalon Tripa Clarifies Tibetan Parliament Name Change Decision
Dharamshala: - Kalon Tripa Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, the current chairman of the Tibetan Administration at the 1st session of the 15th Tibetan Parliament in Exile repudiated any doubt or criticism of the Tibetan Government's recent name change which happened in conjunction with the charter-ammendment regarding His Holiness the Dalai Lama's devolvement of political power.

China rejects UN panel pressure on Tibetan monks
BEIJING (AP) — China rejected pressure from a U.N. human rights panel about more than 300 Tibetan monks and said Thursday that local authorities are "conducting legal education" for the monks to maintain order.
