159 Organizations Petition the UN for Release of Tibet’s Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima

This year marks the 25th year of the enforced disappearance of Tibet’s 11th Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima and his entire family by the Chinese Communist Party. Zurich, 20 March 2020 – The Gaden Phodrang Foundation of the Dalai Lama (GPFDL) is pleased to announce a ninth round of “The Dalai Lama Graduate Scholarship” (DLG Scholarship) for the upcoming academic year 2020/21. The program, established in 2011, grants every year scholarships for full-time Tibetan graduate students studying in Australia, Europe and the Americas for the pursuit of Master’s and Doctoral degrees. A scholarship grant of up to USD 10,000 will be awarded to 10 to 18 exceptional candidates as a supplementary bursary.
