Tibetan community Glarus yearly Tibetan school exam and rehearsal for the yearly christmas gathering

As every year at this time, on Sunday December 12th, the yearly Tibetan school exam of the Tibetan Community Glarus took place. Totally 12 children in the age between 6 and 13 years have taken the written and oral exam under the supervision of thümi Kampa Thukten, member of committee Lobsang Andrugtsang and the teachers Dawa Sara, Kalden Pangring and Tenzin Pangring. The results will be announced during the yearly Christmas gathering. After the exam the children were given a simple but good lunch.
In the afternoon the last rehearsal for the Christmas gathering took place. The children have been learning the dances for weeks. Beside the children, also other members of the Tibetan Community Glarus will perform at this event. Also the Tibetan Youth, Rangwang and the Tibetan Woman Association, Yumtso will  contribute something to the program. The gathering will take place on December 25th & 26th in the “Mehrzweckhalle” Rüti in the canton of Glarus. Everybody is most welcome to join. Program..   Photos..
