Tibetans in Luzern Held a Prayer Gathering
Luzern: On 28th April 2019, Sunday, Tibetan Community in Luzern organized a prayer gathering for the long life and well being of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Many of the section members attended with full devotion and recited all the prayer texts received from the Department of Religion, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Dharamsala.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate is the life and soul of Tibet and Tibetan People in and outside Tibet. We the Tibetans, from the depth of our heart, are very grateful to Him. We owe Him greatly for His continued effort and working tirelessly to ensure peace, freedom and harmonious coexistence of all religious traditions and culture. His noble deed and contribution for the Tibetan people in particular and to the world, in general, is enormous. His message of developing one's inner values, peace and compassion, universal responsibility spread across the world is beneficial to the people from all walks of life. Regardless of nationality, race and religion, people across the world consider His Holiness the Dalai Lama to be a moral beacon of peace, justice and Harmony.
Luzern Tibetan Community Board informed that following the revelations by Nechung (Tibetan State Oracle) regarding well being of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the notice from the Department of Religion of Central Tibetans Administration, Tibetan community in Luzern has been conducting prayer gathering every Saturday since the beginning of the year. The members have been doing the prayer recitation individually at home too.
The Prayer gathering started at 2 pm and lasted till 7 pm in the evening. Apart from the prescribed prayer texts, the members offered long live Prayers to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Tibetan language school Children sang a tribute song dedicated to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The community office served tea and sweet rice (solja and dresil), khabsay, and dinner at the end to all the participants. The gathering concluded with the singing of Tibetan National Anthem in a high spirit.
