Tibetan Solidarity Movement in front of UN
Despite the harsh winter weather, Tibetan Solidarity Movement consisting of five Tibetan families from Switzerland and one from Australia, on 13 Jan. 2016, organized its 49th campaign for Tibet in front of the UN Office, Geneva. The Movement urged the UN to take an immediate meaningful action to solve the Tibetan issue. It forwarded an appeal letter containing nine important demands to His excellency the Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon and a copy of the same to the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr.Prince Zeid Raad Zeid Al Hussein. In order to create awareness about the real situation in Tibet and its crisis, about 500 pamphlets and books were distributed to general public and tourists coming from all over the World ( Including China ).
The Tibetan Solidarity Movement was initially started by the two families from Luzern, Swiss, in 2012 namely Mr. Lhundhuptsang Karma Tashi Tsering and Mr. Taktsang Kunchok. It is gradually increased to six families until now. The 50th Special Campaign will be held on 10th Feb 2016. All are requested to participate in this campaign as a mark of solidarity and support for the Tibetan cause.

13 Jan, 10 Feb , 9 March, 13 April, 11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14 September, 12 Oct, 9 Nov and 10 December.(every second wednesday of every month)
