Nobel Peace Prize ceremony to His Holiness the Dalai Lama

2010-12-11: The Tibetan Community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein celebrated the 21st-year Anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize conferred to His Holiness the Dalai Lama, in the town hall, Buelach. Around one thousand Tibetans from all corners of Switzerland have attended the festival. The program included various Tibetan Traditional Dances performed by the young and old Tibetans from the different cantonal Tibetan language schools and other groups in Switzerland and Liechtenstein as well.
Mr. Tseten Samdup Choekyap, the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Switzerland, read out the official speech followed by Mr. Sonam Monkar, Member of the Assembly of Tibetan Parliament in Exile and Mrs. Passang Memmishofer, the President of the TCSL. After the sumptuous dinner, the Tibetan Folklore Society presented a Traditional Dance performance from the various region of Tibet.
Another important program highlighted the presentation of the new TCSL website by the webmaster, Tenzin Losal and a congratulatory note from Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, the Prime Minister of Tibetans Government in Exile, is also shown to the audience.
At the end of the evening, the audience crowded the stage and with hand in hand together performed the mass‘Gorsche Dance’ in the rhythm of Nelung Topgyal’s Number. pictures...
