Luzern Community Meeting Highlights New TCSL Norms

Luzern, 21.May 2017: On 21st of May Luzern Community under the leadership of Luzern community President Mr. Tenzin Tsering had its 2nd general community meeting for the year 2017. Around 50 members attended the meeting including Gyunley members. The meeting started with a minute’s silence in memory of the recent martyr Pawo Jamyang Losel in Tibet.

The meeting highlighted the new amended rules and upcoming projects of the Tibetan Community in Switzerland & Liechtenstein (TCSL), which was implemented in the month of February 2017 during the general Thümi meeting. President Mr.Tenzin Tsering informed the community about the newly implemented norms of the TCSL and welcomed public opinions and feedbacks.

The finance resource for the upcoming dream project of TGSL regarding the construction/purchase of a community hall was also brought to the knowledge of the community. Amended guidelines regarding the registration and transfer of member from one to other cantons was also highlighted. The latest deadline for the payment of voluntary Green Book contribution before 31 st  December was also explained to the community. Every regional Tsokpas shall organise at least 4 times general meeting every year and all the members shall attend the meeting. Those under certain circumstances cannot attend must take a formal leave.

The observation and participation of the 10th March National Uprising day shall be deemed very important. Regional Gyunleys shall inform the public well in advance to bring about a good participation.

The meeting also covered other regional issues and other community programmes in the offing. With a vote of thanks from the President, snacks and tea, ended the meeting on a positive note.
