DHARAMSHALA: Kalon Tripa Prof Samdhong Rinpoche on Sunday met with three Tibetans who are on an indefinite fast in Delhi to demand the Chinese government to stop repression in Ngaba region in northeastern Tibet's Amdo Province.

The indefinite fast organised by the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) began on 25 April after the Chinese security forces blockaded Kirti Monastery in Ngaba, which left 2 Tibetans dead and over 300 monks arrested.

Kalon Tripa conveyed His Holiness the Dalai Lama's concern over the health of the three Tibetans, the TYC said in a statement.

In a letter presented to the three hunger strikers, Kalon Tripa said the Kashag is concerned about their health condition.

He commended the three Tibetans for their sincerity and determination towards the cause of Tibet.

He said their efforts have helped in generating ample attention, solidarity and support for the plight of Tibetans in Ngaba.

He therefore call for an end to the indefinite fast.

Kalon Tripa was accompanied by Kalon Tempa Tsering, the representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Delhi.
