Human Rights Day on 10th December 2011 in Geneva.

On the international Humen Rights day,  Tibetans and supporters in Switzerland gathered in  front of the U.N office in the Swiss city of Geneva to protest against the brutal crackdown in Tibet following the recent spate of self immolations in Tibet. Around few hundreds participated in the  protest rally organised jointly by the Tibetan Community of Switzerland and Leichtenstien, Tibetan Womens Organisation branch of Switzerland, Swiss Tibetan friendship Association and Tibetan Youth Asoociation of Europe.  A minute of silence was observed in respect to the martyrs of recent self immolations. Members of the Tibetan Youth Association in Europe, in their honour, presented a small dramatic recreation of the symbolic act of courage and sacrifice by the self immolating martyrs. Lead by the Khen Rinpoche and an entourage of monks from the Rikon Monastery, the gathering prayed for the souls of the martyrs followed by slogans . The rally ended at 17.00 O,clock with sangsol follewd by the National Anthem. Pictures
