The manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama was born on 6th July 1935 to a peasant family in Taktser village in the Amdo region of Tibet. His Holiness the great was recognized as the reincarnation of the 13th Dalai Lama when he was two years old. He was enthroned to the status when he turned five, was compelled to take over both the spiritual and political responsibility of Tibet at the tender age of sixteen and unfortunately led to his flight into exile in India in 1959, at the age of twenty four due to Chinese illegal invasion of Tibet.

Today, 60 years in exile, Tibetan cultural identity has been revived and preserved, a full-fledged democratic Central Tibetan Administration has been established, and the spirit of Tibetans in Tibet and all over the world remain strong and united. Tibet cause found its voice and support throughout the globe and the Middle Way Approach in resolving the Tibet issue through dialogue continues to be widely supported by many countries. All these milestones were achieved only through His Holiness the Dalai Lamas tireless endeavors surmounting all the hardships through his wise and able leadership.

The contribution made and noble deeds done by His Holiness the Dalai Lama for the Tibetan People in particular and the world in general are humongous. His message of developing ones inner value, peace and compassion, universal responsibility, spread across the world is beneficial to people from all the walks of life in this world.
