Debate with Katri candidate, Dr. Lobsang Sangay, in Volkshaus, Zurich, 26th February 2011

Many interested Tibetans joined the debate event in Zurich. In the opening speech held by the President of Tibetan Community in Switzerland & Liechtenstein, Mrs Pasang Memmishofer, she mentioned, that the two other candidates Kasur Tashi Wangdü and Kasur Tenzin Namgyal Tethong also were invited to this occasion. Due to schedule difficulties, they couldn't join the debate.

With pleasure the President of TCSL welcomed Katri candidate Dr. Lobsang Sangay and the audience. At the begining of the event a few questions, organized by TCSL were asked. Followed by many interesting and important questions from the audience. Dr. Lobsang Sangay gave to almost all questions very profound and clear answers. It seemed so that he has quiet a number of supporters in the audience.

It was also a pleasure that many young Tibetans joined this debate in Zurich. In the closing speech, the Vize-President of TCSL, Mr Lobsang Shitsetsang mentioned, that the event was a successful one. TCSL handed over a Katak and a small gift as a thanking gesture. The occasion ended at about 13.30 o'clock.
