Richard Gere meets local Tibetan leaders in Zurich
Zurich, 23 September: Richard Gere met with local Tibetan leaders this morning to discuss the current situation in Tibet during a short visit to Zurich. The Zurich Film Festival honoured Richard Gere yesterday with this year’s Lifetime Achievement honour at a gala screening of “Arbitrage” – his latest film.

UN to send an independent fact-finding mission to Tibet now! “Respect the Tibetan Children’s rights”
On 21 of September 2012 about 60 participants of the Tibetan community section Rapperswil/Jona and Uznach/Wattwil as well as section Geneva gathered in front of the headquarter of the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva on the occasion of the campaign "UN – send fact-finding mission to Tibet".
EU tells UN Human Rights Council its concern about the situation in Tibet
The European Union expressed its concern about the situation in Tibet at the UN Human Rights Council 21st session in Geneva. Under General debate, the governments and NGOs discussed human rights situations that requires the Council’s attention.
