Geneva: The three chairpersons of the Tibet Discussion Group in the German Parliament urged German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel in an open letter “to advocate for an immediate end to the Chinese violence towards the Tibetan people, in talks with the Chinese leadership during the upcoming G20-Summit in Cannes.”

Dharamshala, October 25: A report from Tibet confirmed here by Tibetan government-in-exile said a monk of Karze monastery in Karze in eastern Tibet has set himself on fire this morning.
1,000 Tibetan gathered in front of the UN for Solidarity Rally
Geneva: Over a thousand Tibetans gathered in front of the United Nations in Geneva on 23 October to express their solidarity with Tibetans who recently self-immolated in Ngaba and Tawo in Eastern Tibet. Mr. Penpa Tsering, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile called upon the UN to send a fact-finding mission to Kirti Monastery to investigate the situation there.

Calling for 'complete independence for Tibet', another Tibetan self immolates (Updated)
DHARAMSHALA, October 15: Yet another Tibetan self-immolated in the distraught Ngaba region of eastern Tibet earlier today protesting China’s rule over Tibet. The incident happened at around 11.50 am local time. The individual is being described as Norbu Damdul, around 19 years of age who is a former monk at Kirti Monastery in Ngaba.
